Reflection:

I think this story was very heart warming. The little boy jimmy, chose the right by telling the truth and being honest. He could have easily lied but instead he told the truth and chose the right.  If he would have lied the guilt would have been stuck with him forever and would have made him uncomfortable. Jimmy was very honest and it made him better as a person. He also set a good example to his classmates and teacher. No matter how young or old you are choosing the right is always the very best decision someone can make.

1.They look for and find opportunities where others see nothing.
2. They find a lesson while others only see a problem.

3.They are solution focused.
4. They consciously and methodically create their own success, while others hope success will find them.

5. They are fearful like everyone else, but they are not controlled or limited by fear.

6. They ask the right questions, the ones that put them productive, creative, positive, mindset and emotional state.
7. They rarely complain ( waste of energy ). All complaining does is put the complainer in a negative and unproductive state.
8. They don’t blame (what’s the point?). They take complete responsibility for their actions and outcomes (or lack thereof).

9. While they are not necessarily more talented than the majority, they always find a way to minimize their potential. They get more out of themselves. They use what they have more effectively.

10. They are busy, productive and proactive. While most are laying on the couch, planning, over-thinking, sitting on their hands and generally going around in the circles, they are out there getting the job done.

Student success statement

“Doing what is right, fair, and honorable is more important than winning or losing “

Chick Moorman

Reflection:

I think this statement is very true. I think this statement is true because doing the right is more important than winning or losing. If you do the right you will accomplish more things. It’s not always about winning or losing, it’s about doing the right. If you think it’s about winning or losing then you are selfish and only care about yourself, but if you do the right you are considerable of others and not selfish. This statement is very true and has a powerful meaning.

Keys to successful Living

Keys to successful Living
                             Part 3

We should understand our capacities and potentials, and then we should express ourselves in the external world with full confidences, acting steps without any reservations. Thus there are three in performing an action: first, forming an opinion within ourselves; second, expressing our opinion to others; and third, executing our opinion in action. Understanding Habit Patterns the main thing that one should learn in life—and it is not taught in the home or in the schools—is self-analysis. We should learn to analyze ourselves. If we really want to understand ourselves, we can analyze our personality by understanding our habit patterns. This is not difficult. We should simply try to be consciously aware of every action we perform and realize that our actions are virtually our thoughts. Without thought there can be no action. Habit patterns and thoughts are revealed through behavior. There is a branch of psychology called behaviorism that is based on this concept but one should understand that external behavior alone cannot reveal everything about a person.

What is personality? The word “Personality” comes from the root persona, which means “mask”. Our personality is a mask that we wear. We don’t have to wear a mask when we are by ourselves; we wear a mask to express ourselves to others. Our personality is a character, and that character is composed of certain habits. Each of us has numerous habits; so when we want to understand our personality, we should understand our habit patterns. A habit pattern is conscious thought or action that one repeats again and again. This creates a groove in the unconscious mind and forms an unconscious habit. Unconscious habits are stronger than conscious habits. All Habit patterns are self-created. When we sit down and try to understand which of out habits control our life, we see that there are many deep-rooted habits within us.
Choose habits that will mold your personality into a super successful student and person.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT!!!

Student success statement

“NO man will ever be totally free who is living a lie.”

Reflection:

This statement makes total sense to me. It’s true that living in a lie is not living free because you’re being tied down by a lie.  This statement really sends out a powerful message because it describes many people’s lives who are living in a lie and unhappy. This statement can really make people realize that living in a lie can tie you down from being free.
